What is New World Aeternum? I still don't get it.

I'm the target audience for this game. Someone who invests thousands of hours into MMORPG's and would be considered a whale to many. However, I still have no idea what this game is. Not a clue. If the goal was to market to people like me...you missed your mark. My friends don't even know the difference between New World and New World Aeternum.

I've watched multiple youtube videos and I still have no idea what New World Aeternum is. I remember playing New World back in the day for a few weeks and then quitting, but what is New World Aeternum? What's the difference between normal New World and New World Aeternum???

Most youtube videos go like this "Yo it's ya boy (insert name here) and I'm here to tell you everything you need to know about New World Eternum. So smash that like button, slap that subscribe button, and smack that bell because we are about to get busy. No Diddy. New World Aeternum is Amazon's re-release of New World!!! It will also be available on consoles!!! You will be able to play as a healer, tank, or dps. Ok boys that's enough information for today....now it's time for me to drop that sick paid advertisement and peace out. Have you dudes ever needed a razor that will help you mow the jungle down under if you know what I'm sayin...well I have the perfect solution for you...."

Added swimming & other relatively non-essential stuff. Archetypes for new players - you basically start with level 50 in 3 or 4 professions.

New cinematic, dialogues, increased gear score, matchmaking and new raid. It's basically a patch rather than a re-vamped game. Relatively big, but still a patch.

It's basically a relaunch together with console players (xbox/ps5) on crossplay servers.
A bit improved UI, better gamepad support. That's it.

so nwaeternum is... two different products depending on your platform

for console players it's new world + the expansion in one package plus swimming and a new UI

for steam players it's new world + swimming + a new UI. you still need to purchase the expansion seperately
