No.

Yes. It is well written and provides tons of good info. They did a good job with the story and lore. As I said before, Amazon somehow made a good game and are now destroying it with their incompetence. Basically DA Veilgiard style. The basics are there, and they are solid.... But not sure for how long with all the missteps Amazon has taken.

I could not for the life of me want to read them, just like the cut sceens. Just imagine how many hours you will have lost in your life if you do these.

All quests are made for children. Nothing deep, no corruption, no treason, no blood, mostly rainbows and unicorns around.
But main story sort of not bad, all characters has voice lines and actually there is several cutscens.
Side quests are meh.
Log books scattered around gives you alot of experience, so it definitely worth to open.
Some high end content logs contain treasure maps.

Do you want to die laughing? If answer is yes, listen to dialog and read notes.
Do you have self respect? If answer is yes, uninstall NW and play literally any other game.
Otherwise you can skip notes

I am enjoying the questing and lore in NWE and do recommend taking the time to read the scattered journal pages and watch the cutscenes. They add a lot of meaning to your actions within the game. Of course, this isn’t for everyone, and I understand that—especially when you’re playing in a group where others skip every cutscene and mindlessly rush to the next waypoint on the map.

You can loot the pages without reading them for exp as you run past. The "T" button adds them to your log and you don't even slow down.

its up to you.
But a big part, for me, of an ..RPG is to get into the story and interact with that story and world

Well, you learn something every day. I didn't yesterday though for some reason.

even to questions this disqualifies you from being a roleplayer at all .

all that answered with something else than yes are no gamers with a heart for their toons.

new worlds deserves better gamers almost as much as more focus from devs.

quitting dialogues is the first step from quitting roleplaying any toon.

heresy grows from idleness you cant hope fighting corruption if you not even able to counter own lazyness.

I only skip tedious dialogue and half-arsed cutscenes, yet i never once thought about skipping them in things like Witcher 3 or Ghost of Tsushima. It's all in the presentation and it being able to hold my interest, especially if all they lead to is collecting crap from chests.

Mostly there's no time to read lore pages. While you are reading, enemies will respawn and attack you. That's why the interaction has a second prompt to "Collect" only.
Devs in this and many other MMOs don't play their own game on live servers. Otherwise they will realize walls of texts just don't work in areas with monsters or if you are in a co-op activity.

I watched all the cutscenes and read every note I could find. The story isn't super advanced, nor deep, but I still found it enjoyable.

If you enjoy that kind of thing, go for it. If you don't care, then it won't impact your gameplay in the slightest.
