I regularly survive multiple hits from the fire staff in OPR with a medium armor build. Look for perks like Elemental Aversion and Enchanted Ward to reduce how much damage you take; increase your constitution; and fight on healing circles (Sacred Ground). A few simple tweaks would probably make your build much more viable.

All others playing the game with weapons that counter me need to get nerfed!

So far I have seen posts asking for nerfs to pretty much every weapon except hatchet. So I think we need to buff hatchet back to the way it was so we can get more nerf hatchet posts.

1 hit = max empowered buff

Wear that and put on 5 armor runes. There yah go, spread the WORD so the dev's can hear it more.

Did not know this. Just tried it out and holy crap. Seriously, they are letting people abuse this and there is no patch yet? Pathetic. Told everyone I know too. The difference of using this vs not is insane. Watch them nerf the staff and leave this exploit

CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all of players are cheating and killing the game!! DELETE FIRE STAFF - no more fire staff !!!! or game dead!!!

i will NEVER play this fire staff. i deleted all of it's items. i am still MELEE even after i get deleted .... but for how long we can play like this?

If they patch the exploit ASAP and punish those that abused it, it would go a long way with me. Of course they won't, but they should. PvP is pointless unless you abuse this, since most people already are. And it's not just one weapon.... Amazing coding from Amazon.

how did that work ? you have elemental band en it automaticaly max up all empowers you have ?

Skill issue. LOL. Spear / hatchet light armor Roll out of tether range. Stab em and then knock em to the ground switch to hatchet berserk and chase em down or face off. In the end its the best build / skill that wins unless there is the "Elemental Band exploit/bug".

P. S. You mentioned Cutlass Keys and that is where I play. The terrain helps a lot each situation is different. If you stand and face off with a good void blade build U are probably dead. I use void blade and The Abyss. The worst I have had to deal with is void / musket.
