D3D12 Device Removal Detected

Was playing as ever and then randomly at the loading screen of the Mutated Expedition it crashed with this error message. Havent done anything recently. Dont know where this comes from. It says update of the video card drivers could solve the problem but Win and GPU Drivers are up-to-date...?

happend to others too after recent update, dont worry its new world not on your end, also doenst matter if AMD or Nvidia happens to both

Well, Its a graphics card driver problem, nothing to do with New World, other games are crashing with the same D3D12 problem, just do a search.

I have this exact same issue "D3D12 Device removal detected. This is an unrecoverable error" and the crash happens in the exact same spot every single time during forge expedition.

MY D3D12 crash generally happens after a fast travel or a lot of alt tabbing

they have patched something with dx12 hopefully it fixes this issue...!?

anyone tried this yet after recent patch ? i got the error three times in 40 mins so went back to dx 11 which has no crashes apart from the 1:15 azoth teleport " not responding crash" which is much better

A lot of games are running "experimental/Beta" DX12's. This isn't some kind of gotcha moment to dunk on the devs.

I crash this error too exact same spot in the forge expedition. Updated nVidia driver to latest December version and cleared the shader cache.

Top platform in forge after walking the edge catwalk by the lava. Same place every time. Reconnect in less than 60 seconds sometimes to a kick vote.

Okay I guess the devs released a different build for you.

With my flagship PC (i9 14900K, 128 GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 4090), I experience very few performance issues or bugs. I guess it might perform worse on other setups.
