Seriously A Hippo Mount ???

Seriously,

New World was doomed from the start. I bought it later and played it until max level and apart from the feeling of fighting and farming mats the game is and was a total disaster.
But why I resepcted New World was because they didn't jumped on that kiddy train with blink blink items and childish mounts. And now? AGS now release a childish mount, a bear who is wearing a cute wool hippo costume that totally destroy the immersion. I was really hoping that AGS get the curve in the future and turn New World into the better but that is the last hit before the complete death of the game. Now it turns into a childish game aswell! I´ll bet that more of this childish items are coming. Good Job AGS. Deinstalled along time ago and now I´ve deleted New World out of my steam list.

I agree, this hippo is bad taste. Especially since I haven't seen any hippos on the island. Brimstone would be a perfect place with the oasis/nile like areas that are swarming with crocodiles.

its just another skin nobody can force you to buy and equip it use google for the meaning of fun also is just a carebear in disguise of a happy hippo next would be wombat mount skin maybe.
timing fur such thingies before a road map is very bold and questionable though.

A lot of people are going to use it because they voted for it. Every woman is going to buy it because it's so cute. A bear who wear a hippo wool costume "childish BS" that destroys totally the immersion of every game. A game for 8 years old. Google it.

Well its not a hippo. The point is it´s a bear wearing a cute hippo wool costume! Thats alot harder to ignore.

Wow, you must never have looked in the cash shop. They have had rainbow ♥♥♥♥ in there since like week 2 of the game. The hippo/bear at least doesn't have rainbow farts and glitter. But yes indeed, it is a bit goofy but am not sure what you expect from this game.

If it was a real MMO that people were invested in and had some kind of lore that fed into the hippo story, theme then it might actually have been a bit of fun. But it's NW, and there is nothing of that kind so it just looks dumb.

Objectively it's pandering BS that doesn't belong in this setting but I thought it was pretty cute. This game is dead and just doesn't know it yet so who really cares.
