How do I buy stuff on the trade post ?

I just matched a sell order on the trade post. I Offered 0.01 higher than the lowest seller. So it should be instant buy right ? The order are staying at "active status" uder my orders -> buy orders when browsing the trade post. Please advice.

It's simple: If you want to buy something you do not create a buy order but instead pay for one of the sell orders that already are there.

Buy orders are just people asking to buy an item at a certain price and quite frankly most of the time the offers are either a bit lowballing or a complete scam where someone is hoping to find a fool so they can re-sell with a giant profit. To put it simply: Buy orders are mostly people's wishful thinking and the items are not in the trading post yet.

How do I NOT create a buy order then ? Seemed to be the only option. Big menu called Place Buy Order when browsing through the warez

You go on buy, select a category and click on the item you wanted to have from it. Are you by any chance trying to buy an item that is not in stock? In that case you can only create a buy order.
