Rip game
Trading in the game is already dead. For example; Iron ingot is more valuable than Orichalcum ingot. There is no reason to craft high tier materials, you will lose tons of golds. There's nothing to do in the game right now. No crafting, no trading, no leveling, nobody cares about expeditions or portals, boring chest runs...

it's one thing to realize all this but to actually quit is a very different story, that's why this game is dead but undead at the same time. the addicts in denial keep it going, but trust me they don't enjoy it, either. I should know.

Im one of the undeads

I logged on, then logged out again today. Im on the verge of quitting after doing mostly pvp yesterday.
Don't get me wrong, i have had a good time with the restart, but i am not that into mostly doing PvP, and now when the exploration and quest phase is over, that's what i am left with.

I'm not bad at PvP, but 3vs3 isn't that fun with the loop sided matchmaker.
Outpost Rush is just chaos, and i am bored inside 45 min every time.

So yeah.
Already started window shopping for something else.
But it was fun while it lasted.

I think im done with MMO RPG games tbh.

Edit : I quoted an undead it seems, but ill let it stand, because i think he was right.:)

Well, i always try to get games to work, and i have found myself trying to find ways for me to work inside the game. To feel like i have purpose.
I'm having difficulty with it.

I could go heavy crafter and build different pvp build's and try it out in PvP, but that's about the best idea so far.
But the thought of all that work for so little is kinda... well..

I think you are right about logging on because its a habit. And people get addicted to MMO RPG's for sure. I'm just at a stage where i wonder why i do it :)

And right now i am more or less thinking i'm done.

I rage quit some time ago, can't even remember what is was exactly. I was so pissed off that I uninstalled immediately and that pretty much sealed it for me.

a few times I actually thought: "hey I could reinstall and play a bit" and that was SO 100% addicted behaviour that I basically recoiled from my own thoughts. it's complicated for some people, other's just quit and move on.

now I'm off mmos altogether, at least for a while. to make the contrast better I started playing solo survival games lol - love it

I just bought "The last of us Part 1" on sale a couple days ago.
I actually watched a streamer play through the whole game once on you tube, and i thought the game was fantastic, so i promised myself i would buy it when it got ported to PC.

Offcourse, im also a cheapskate that has too many games already so i have waited for sale, and i finally got it 40% off. :steammocking:

I'm thinking i will go full time on that game for a while now

The New World endgame is designed for hardcore gamers. So it's hardly surprising that he ends up losing all the other players...

you are right about legacy market prices are insane broken since player numbers got low months ago but you are wrong about losing ton of golds while crafting high tier materials unless you are too lazy to gather material just for yourself gaining easy aptitude levels just from skinning the beasts you kill for free plus the gold by killing mobs

just forget about to sell high level stuff that macrobot societies had decided to tank the prices down to insanity.

the market for freshstart is much less insane though a lot of thingies cant be bought as most people just care to catch up toon to the level of their mains on legacy or farm doubloons around pvp island.

but you are wrong about Rip for game but some macrobotabuser very likely seriously trying to kill the legacy market sell prices for real players since many months ago.

ags should consider tracking sources from multisellers so abusers could be tracked and may get reported if more details from the seller are visable like in other games since years.

i remember years ago in games like everquest 2 sellernames from certain guilds or unguilded maxes toons made it much easier to avoid trading from shady sources with duped crap.

the existing market system needs to get purged before a cross market for all remaining legacy servers may save the economy for all the none realmoneytraders.

That's not a sign of dead trading, that's completely natural.

To smelt 1 Orichalcum ore, you need 48 Iron ore. But you can not harvest Iron 48 times faster than Orichalcum. That creates an oversupply of Orichalcum, which pushes it's value down.

Yeah I came here about to make a post about this.. It's incredible frustrating now, you literally cannot make any money because people are just not buying anything anymore. And then when you vendor crap you get like what 3g a pop and sometimes some other crap that you are suppose to use to buy rare stuff that NOONE BUYS.

Add to that everything is so freaking expensive to upgrade and I just really and getting to the point where I might have to call it. I like the game, but with all the bug, performance issues, and now this it might be time to just go somewhere else.

95% of the items to be crafted in this game are strictly useless... So don't be surprised if this game's raw materials don't sell well!
Niebaum Nov 9, 2024 @ 7:26am
The entire crafting system in this game is BS. Always was since launch.

Low tier materials are more valuable.

I have to admit that this patch destroyed all old content since the only activity that makes sense to do is hive once in the week.

I use this game as my coffee-break half-hour, a couple of times a day. I'm one of the people that despises PvP in games because of the sheer pointlessness of it all, and I have no interest in crafting things. As such, the game is great for a casual player like me. It must be a downer for people who like PvP and/or Crafting though.
Shephard Nov 9, 2024 @ 8:19am
Crafting system was conceived for a completely different style of game and doesn't suit the standard MMO genre well, putting vet players against new players for resources was just asking for trouble.

Sad but I think the game will start to diminish this week, 29K roughly on at present was about 50k week before.

Did we expect it to go differently, well not really.

Nice to have another spin around Aeternum and think what the game could have been, until AGS sought there leadership out nothing will change.
