Trade skills levelling

Can I play without raising the trade skills and just gathering and refine, to sell later and get money to buy what I can't create? I don't have time to do everything, and I need to manage my time.

You sell the prismatic stuff with a cool down. Have 3 accounts and 12 toons now. Get a little factory going. Farm you balls off and hunt the auction hall. But I would rather hunt rabbits. LOL.

@balbindoty No. It drops, rarely, but I like doing the town board hunting quest instead of grinding money. The game is for fun grind a little hunt a little. I did grind money and now have all I need but its a rat race and playing is more fun.

ye you can max your equipment etc without trade skills.

Absolutely. And I would argue that outside of the highest tiers of crafting and a few minor exceptions, it’s generally more profitable to just sell raw resources and salvage equipment. Quest for the gear you need, or in rare cases just buy the gear you need. I’m pushing to level crafting but I feel I would be sitting on a lot more money if I wasn’t blowing it on stuff for crafting. Even if you were to exclusively forage the crafting materials yourself, you generally make more money just selling the raw materials.

You can play this game without need to level up trade skills.

You can farm iron and low level materials and sell them very good.

Then you can do hyve and change the perks of the items you get.
