A general tip would be to not waste your first house discount on a lower tier house and instead grind to 30 town reputation somewhere and get the highest tier house where you can put four chests inside. The reason for this is that the higher the purchase price, the more you save from the discount and it only works one time.
Oh yeah and I'd recommend against the following territories, because they aren't as popular and see lower player traffic so the crafting stations won't be build up in most cases: Restless shore, Mourningdale, Weaver's Fen, Reekwater.
Unless ofc you really love the looks of one of those.
The other territories you get reputation in should be used for storage/gather speed.
Also dont underestimate music buffs. So keep those spare music sheets as they can boost your music at the workshop so you get better buffs quicker.
Forget about town buffs as they change constantly.
