What are the issues they needed to fix? Genuinely asking since I’ve only been back on since the re release
Honestly far too much to list. There are bosses in the main quest that do not spawn, (Preventing many players from even experiencing the game they bought.) Hatchet is nuts and same with blunderbuss because of the lock on feature, something they have known will be an issue for a long time.
Bow has a way to animation cancel its shots, allowing them to fire MANY more arrows then intended, causing even tanks to go from 100 - 0 in seconds. (Basically if you know how to do this exploit you can make the bow into an SMG.) Animation glitches are frequent.
In PVP your death screen will always be wrong, you cannot see who killed you it will always be something like somebeardedguy, nor can you see the weapons they will be grey. (This has been in the game since release, 3 years later still not fixed.)
There are issues that have been around since release, literally. Thing you noticed on the OG release, still likely there. Even this event is just a redo, the SAME bugs from the last time they had the event, are STILL in the game. A whole year to fix the event, and it is not fixed. Not a good sign.
MANY more. A youtube video to make light of the situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5lu-HDTIQg
I bought it as I got rehooked for 2 days, but I wouldn't. The very beginning experience is addicting, but the second you hit level cap all of the problems just jump out at you basically. I do regret the purchase, if the game still is active on sale it may be worth it then.
At this point, they are probably courting Daybreak to buy it and squeeze the last bit of money out of the remaining players.
Why does everything need a road map? Not every-game needs to have an infinite endgame loop. I would rather a project just end then new content be added later for something to come back to rather than this infinite power grind, that all mmos do. Games are better off just being fun, if the game is fun you will find a reason to look forward to playing it no matter how much end game content it has, the moment i stop having fun with a game i wont be playing it. Least there no subscription
I pvp in many game I can be the first to tell you, Nothing is ever perfectly balanced.
In fact PVP balance is the biggest subjective discussion in every game.
But I can relate with you on some of these bugs, Server lag definitely needs to be looked into, also when I go to chop a tree down and character just freezes but I can still hear him chopping! Like WTF?
