Also, you can select expeditions in the Activities screen for Expeditions. Select a few you want to run, including Dynasty. And you will get teamed up with another wait of maybe :20 minutes or more. I finished four expeditions yesterday morning in a period of a couple hours this way. Have the M1 unlocked for those now.
FIrst you need said rolls, so i get a group started and then were stuck on a roll, then someone will drop then we get a new person over and over until blah I drop too. Dungeon and dragons online, even the raids are solo able. It just needs to happen IMO
They don't want to tweak it because solo play is very different even from duo play. As solo you have to do everything, handle every mechanic, take aggro from every enemy.
Group content would need to be redesigned to accommodate.
That's why solo players are supposed to do Trials and all the Expeditions that don't drop useful gear (all but one it seems) are just to show "there's a lot of content" and no one queues for them.
Then they should at least remove expeditions from the faction quest pool. And change the requirements for the artifacts as well.
For life skill players - settlement "factions" you can work for and who offer end game gear able to do all content, but come with 1 useful life skill perk (never making it bis, but highly interesting to those who like a split)
-- specific artifacts added
-- ways to get them through city rep, random t5 node gathering or crafting proc (low chance) and so on (example: rep unlocks recipe, mats are way higher in lower tier, take time to gather ((good way to make irrelevant loot relevant again/green, blue rare drops)) and thus complement life skill activites with a good reward)
For combat solo pve - mutated trials that can be crafted, like an orb. Specific materials can be farmed from mobs or chests in relevant zones with higher chances from silver mobs (all solo doable). The player can then choose additional mats that specificly boost difficulty and or pool of items that are wanted and so on.
Gear will then drop up to 725 at highest difficulty, with specific stat roll, but random perks. Great solo challenge with great loot. Just examples here.
For explorational solo pve - same as combat, but you can find random maps in chests all over the world, that lead to lengthy quests, that will reward players with specific pool gear. Kind of like the old legendary weapon quests, but shorter, more often.
Again, just an example.
Every activity should contribute more towards such goals, other than gold via marketplace. Easily doable. But AGS went with chest runs...
