- Getting shot by 5 max level, high gear players with bows (or any weapons).. will kill you.
- You can get 725 gear from the well in CK without PvP'ing. Chest runs in PvE CK and daily quests in CK give doubloons.
- The end game is max gearing and maxing trade skills. Also, PvP.
- Gypsum orbs are needed to upgrade artifacts and crafting. They have a purpose.
- Yes, there are bugs and glitches. Every game has them. 20 pages long is an exaggeration.
One thing I learned during my time in this game, is that if you don't wanna die from players, don't PvP. You can gear to 725 without PvPing. Sure, it's slower, but it's possible. I understand your frustration when it comes to dying to other players. OPR, for instance, is cross server. This means that it pairs legacy servers with fresh start servers. I play on a fresh start server. OPR will bring undergeared players score to 700, but those above 700, will stay at their score.
I also heard about the GS exploit, bow, axe, rapid heavy fire and so on. The other day, someone posted a vid about these issues. The vid currently trumps compared to Percello's comment, easily, by a mile.
In addition to that, Percello writes insight as deep as a puddle of mud; you cannot get 725GS items you want. You will get 725 with random perks once a week at the cost of the golden coconut - which is used more efficiently elsewhere.
The 3x daily loot box is pure gambling and cannot be considered reasonable way to get what you want.
The 710 items come with pvp perks, useless in pve.
The costly random boxes can roll randomly as well and will most likely not satisfy, compared to a good 3 perk 690-700 GS item from the market.
The whole game is about right perks and not bis GS. As it has been reported, there were tests with 725GS and it came out to be around less than 5% (was it 3%?) increase in dmg compared to a 700GS, making a perfect 700 better than any 725 randomly rolled.
Gypsum is overall less worthy - not as important anymore - low key useful.
Bugs and glitches in NW are the worst i have seen in any game, even worse than Fallout 76 stuff. One has to label it "unusually high" at this point.
And overall end game still suffers heavily for a game with such options at hand. For a re branded "solo rpg" experience, bis loot, transmog and some artifacts are all locked behind coordinated groups. Besides the fact, that content is minimal and has been for years.
To add to the list of glitches, just for fun:
- gathering animation broken when specific overlapping menus in town i.e. are triggered and break something, also leading to scuffed running
- option settings do not stay locked in, need to be set up at every start of the game
- hud scaling is incompetently done; chat overlaps music notes, cannot be adjusted, name plates not visible for healers and so on
Just for clarification... btw. THe bow shots were hitting for 3k.. my armor absorbed half (Heavy).. I have 23k HP. So unless my math is wrong here.. It took 15 full power bow shots to drop me in 3 seconds. Which means each of the 5 shooters pumped out 3 rounds of max power shots in 3 seconds.
LEGIT player wise, this is ABSOLUTELY impossible.
all the scaling is kinda broken. either you get too much damage, or you get kind of invincible.
oh, infinite stamina bug for tanks is also there. the list is so long and its sad to see that amazon doesnt do anything. its not that they dont know about all this bugs.
Source? Where/when did they state that?
I highly doubt they've nothing planned for 2025 besides their seasonal events.
The 710 gear score items from The Well are pretty much just useless. Because of these other exploits or over tuned and "under tuned" gear players. It just makes it not fun at all to put work in to getting better gear and powerful items. Just to be weaker and less effective in the PvP parts of Influence Race, War, OPR, and FFA Zone.
It just kinda sucks. I am with you full fledged into Ashes of Creation with you. And starting this next week, I would think most of my weekend playtime will be in AOC instead of NW:A. I had an enjoyable experience again leveling up, playing main story, doing expeditions, and playing the PvP with all the territory control wars and races going on the early server.
But now it is going to be dead as more and more people realize that playing the game in a way to progress and get better, actually makes you weaker.
Ashes in no where near being optimized or nowhere NEAR release, even woodcutting is lackluster.
That's all fine and ok. I spent some here for the DLC, and bought the season pass upgrade. So AGS got some money.
Better yet is something that is actually in active development to spend my money on. I do not see AGS doing anything about any of this with the money they took in on the Aeternum release. Ashes at least has a lot of development left to be done. And I can see they are working on it. So that is really my choice on what to do.
Who knows, I may sometime come back to Aeternum for what would be the fourth time now.
and even in its alpha state, with about 100 hours playtime required to hit level 25.. its STILL more polished and satisfying to play when compared to New World and their ridiculous bugs, exploits and MSQ 2 day to max level with no endgame
There's a developer interview for a gaming magazine. You can google it. I wont link it here because everytime I try and point out the flaws of the game.. they ban me. Especially when I link video/audio evidence. They SPECIFICALLY stated they had no content planned for "The forseeable future" and doubled down on their absolutely stupid decision to "Slow WAY down any upcoming content plans" How they slow down from 1 raid in 3 years is a bit of a mystery.. but I mean.. its definitely dedication to the bit I guess. Then in another interview they stated that there was no "significant" content releases planned for at least the next year.
So basically, its little seasonal crap.. and thats it. There's no other way to interpret their own repeated statements of not releasing content.
Hm... that sounds concerning indeed. It depends on what they consider "significant" updates though.
I, for one, am not interested at all in raids/dungeons and PvP. As long as they add a barbershop and expand on crafting or improve housing I'm fine. Of course, others will have other priorities.
