Release Update Now, not in September?

With the player count in a downward spiral, why not release the update now?

It's not like they can say no because of issues or bugs, since they've been introducing those since launch.

Can we get the update sooner? There's no benefit to waiting, since it might be impossible to revive people's interest in this game with a console release.

Multiple reasons. Hype is a huge reason. But I think the main reason is because if they release it now and it feels "unfinished", it will hurt them, the game and the playerbase.

This game released unfinished, and they've been releasing updates to this game that have major unfinished and unpolished aspects for years now. So it would actually be consistent with their behavior to release something unfinished, but they're not usually early.

It's not coming in September it's supposed to be October 15th. Either way it's ridiculous to have gone for soo long with no major updates to the game. The last decent content update was brimstone.
