500k?! what level of cope is this
they dont even have enough players to fill 1 server, let alone sell 500k copies of a game they are re-releasing.
Obviously the game(progress) is not going anywhere, thats why its dying :D
Instead of complaining I have fall back games.
Many of the people who comprise Amazon Games came from the old Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) that was bought out by Columbus Nova (an investment firm) and changed to Daybreak Games.
Landmark (originally titled Everquest Next Landmark) was "launched". They were selling cosmetic packs out the bum because it was a cash grab. They shut the game down 7 months later.
New World is 100% in cash grab mode. Its the same people making another failed game under a new name with the same strategies.
Sorry wolfie you stretch your facts to thin.
In the dev Q&A they said aeternum is not an MMO but rather a single player RPG. New world as it is now is an MMORPG.
They said they are making more solo friendly content, not that the mmo aspect is gone.
