Help with crouching

I play New World with an Xbox Controller. The left joystick click bind to crouch is a catastrophically shortsighted decision. Thus far, all attempts to change the crouch keybind have failed. I need your help. How do I change the keybind from left joystick click to virtually anything (except right joystick click).? Thanks!

To my knowledge, you would have to do this through 3rd party software which could be against TOS.

Crouching is prohibited as it can be interpreted as t-bagging, which may offend some players. Amazon cannot permit this behavior, as it risks driving away the remaining players still engaged in the game.
