My New World won't launch

I have done everything in the book from uninstalling, to reinstalling, and running as administrator and verifying the game files integrity and still the game will not open. It does this weird thing where my task manager and steam both say it's running but then it won't open whatsoever and it doesn't appear in the taskbar or anywhere else on the pc. I'm at my wits end and help would be great.

try deleting those folders (backup first if you want)

Try signing totally out of Steam all together, and logging back in your account, see if that helps any. =) Sometimes a fix for those problems with Steam games.

I have had this issue with games before and it is almost always my virus/internet protection. Try whitelisting the game directory and the main .exe. Basically, the game runs, but is not actually allowed to get going and access the necessary files to get very far.

did the game run normal in the past? if not it may be missing key files wich can be installed from the setups in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\

I tried everything suggested except raptor's because I/m not too sure how to verify it those files are installed and how to reinstall them. Thanks for the help though.

You didn't uninstall EAC did you?

How about the intstall directories? Use the defaults (recommended), or changed them?

change your desktop resolution to 1920x1080 then start the game
