But hey! There is a solution. They are going to introduce Pay to Win "cAtCh Up MeChAnIcS" in February or later in 2022, so you will be able to quickly rush to the endgame and reach the heights of 3.5 people that will still be playing it.
Still with such schedule you don't have any chance against others, same as don't have a chance to catch up to the curve of average players progress state.
In response to Blowfeld I owned the game, I got to 40lvl on closed beta.
Also you don't really need to be a MMO expert (which I can be though, since I've played almost all MMOs that came out after L2) to understand that after 30 minutes of watching any gameplay video
Being a super casual MMO player and expecting to be progress oriented is something we have to leave behind once we enter jobs ;)
EDIT: When reading replies, check if the posters own the game ...
Also, a lot of materials in this game (Such as Iron) are relevant for players of all levels, so you can still make money as well.
And who cares if you're low level? Who cares if it takes you longer to reach lvl 60? You trying to impress someone?
Just play, enjoy at your own pace :)
Youll spend 75% of that hr running to where you want to go.
This
What do you mean by have a chance against others? It will take most people 200 hours to max level, and that again to get all the highest tier gear.
So the elite players will always be better geared than you, by the time you gear up there will be more higher level gear.
But it could be worth your while. An hour a day over the course of a year is plenty of time to level and enjoy the game. There will always be people around your level, and NW works towards a balance system, meaning that levels are less important than skill in open world PVP.
I would say in general mmo's are a time sink.
^
Personally Ive only played 13 hours and will play it now and again. Not fussed about all the elite lewtz etc. Games not a massive mmo as yet imo, its still limited
