Can other players pick up your dropped items?
I mass crafted stuff and now I'm severely encumbered and can't move, not even walk to the storage shed. If I drop stuff so I can move, will others be able to pick them up?

No they arent.
You can put everything on the ground and pick it up later
Sgt Griss Oct 15, 2021 @ 5:07am
If you drop it on the ground it gets deleted in a few minutes

That's too bad. It would be an easy way to pass stuff to another player.

you can trade it if its not bind on pick up just look at them and hit H and get the player menu

Not really logical is it? If I have something I don't want, why shouldn't someone else get to pick it up? Doesn't make any sense tbh.

I often go over my carry limit and drop stuff and did wonder if others were taking it. TY for the clarification.

If you play long enough there should be bag expansions eventually in the player shop. How much will they be, no idea. Probably like 20 bucks per increase.

I did yes, but that's not the same thing is it? I want to drop something I have no use for and then someone can come along after me and if they have a use for it they can pick it up - perhaps with it perishing (disappearing) after 15 mins or so. I know you can trade.

Yeah you can't do this. I believe it's because Amazon wants to prevent people from littering the ground with feathers in their own piles, making towns become a disgusting nightmare.

It would be nice if you could drop a "chest" every 5 minutes instead of a bag, and this chest would last in the world for a few minutes available to other players. This way you could do what you're intending without having to deal with side effects.

Anything dropped on the ground that was visible and interactive for any amount of time is not feasible from the server side as a simple matter of practicality.

If multiple players started dropping things, each of which the server has to track for some specified amount of time, it would deteriorate quickly into an object-addled mess that provided negligible benefit.

i understand about trading, but it's not always convenient. For example; fighting mobs and I want to pass some potions to a stranger I see struggling to help them out. Getting hit cancels the trade, even if you get their attention long enough to do it. Dropping something in front of them would be quicker. Just sayin'.

lineage 2 had this cool feature that loot dropped on the ground and stuff kept lying around for a very long time, idk days? anyway just running around in high lvl areas as a noob looking for stuff people had missed/thrown away or was left behind by bots etc was fun.
Wolfskrieg Oct 15, 2021 @ 6:09am
On a side note, when 2 people kill a mob and they drop a loot bag, is it a free for all for the bag or are they specifically for one person or do both get it? I always take them see, don't want to be known as a ninja.
