2. who knows? maybe some unpaid intern will accidentally delete half of the existing characters? maybe AGS will reduce the number of characters player can have and randomly choose one of the 3 on our accounts? maybe devs will delete all gold OR give some random players thousands? that's part of the fun if you want to play NW
3. console players won't join legacy servers so there's no point grinding the game now
4. there's ongoing beta right now, it's been up since 2021
5. don't
6. you'll pay with frustration and anxiety
1. Yes.
2. No.
3. No. There will be new servers for console players to don't have to play in pc servers with advanced players. Pc players can not transfer their characters to console servers.
4. They say there's gonna be a test with console and pc players together.
5. Definitely wait till October. Everything what you would do now will make absolutely no sense. Since new level cap 725 will make to grind gear all over again.
6. Don't know.
I've heard three theories about this release coming out.
The first theory is that it's basically a complete overhaul of New World. So, basically just New World will a crap ton of changes.
The second theory is that they are technically two completely separate games. There would be the New World we know now in one hand and the Aeternum release New World in another. Two worlds and nothing transfers between them, aka a completely fresh start.
The third theory I just thought about, It could be the same New World, but with different game modes. Maybe you can choose between one or the other at character creation or something.
The articles I've read have steered me more into thinking it's the second theory, but people keep talking about it like it's the first theory. I don't know.
1. No, you will continue to play the game the same way if you already own it. Caveat being you need the Rise of the Angry Earth DLC to have access to all of the new content when the update to Aeternum happens.
2. No, the devs already confirmed it.
3. Technically yes, you would just have to make sure your console players start a character on the world you're currently on, because existing characters can't transfer to "Fresh Start" servers, which are the worlds most people will likely join.
4. Yes, the devs have already confirmed it as well. Just gotta keep an eye out for the dates.
5. I'd personally recommend you wait til October, since the whole initial leveling experience is being reworked, unless you really want to have a head start in terms of gear and gold for your console friends, and then have them join the world you're in.
6. We don't actually know yet, the assumption is it will be $60-80, considering the normal price for the base game plus DLC.
These are, as far as is known, the correct answers.
