Game is finally dead

all servers on low population, world wide game below 8000 online players.

this has happened because the devs never listen to what the community wanted. only once the community could save new world from doom, when communty cried 2 years for moounts and it got implemented the game sky rocketed again, but the other things th e community ask for never gets implemented for example swimming.

The intereset in the game is so low it has 800 viewrs on twitch compared to maplestory 2500 viewers etc.

The game is dead because the developers didnt give what the community asked for since years so yeah

I'm not a fan of New World and the decisions being made to it, BUT the game is not dead. MMOs with 8000 players is actually considered a lot nowadays and New World is still in the top 10. Of course there are more popular games like FFXIV, WoW and GW2, but this game still has an active community. I do wish they listened to the community more and all the hype for mounts was great for about 3 days, then people realized it was underwhelming. Swimming could be implemented, but it would go against the lore of the game. Also, I saw you compared New World to Maplestory. Anyone who has played both knows that they are two completely different games. Maplestory isn't even an MMO. Thats like comparing WoW to CoD.

Also, I noticed you don't own New World, so..

Every day a new anonymous account arrives here and tells the active players with a large guild how dead the game is. The little cowards of writers don't even have the guts to show their account details.

In comparison WoW & FF14 that have millions. Unfortunately, those are decent game and have sub services which I'm not a fan of. Don't like knowing I've spent money and if I don't log in and maximize my time I'm not getting the most of my money.

Guys let's be honest, it's neither dead nor in a good state. OP has a point. 11k is terrible player number for a mmorpg. Devs didn't listen to the community and decided to do their own thing at a snail pace. But hey they got their money's worth, and for a business standpoint, it worked quite well for them. They are just making the last bit of money out of this ♥♥♥♥ game, milking as hard as possible, until they eventualy and inevitably close servers off. Wake up to reality

Tibia, a game that came out in 1997, sees 25k active daily players. Its pretty sad a modern release can't stack up to a 2D pixel MMO lol. All last year it saw 35k-50k daily players.

I'm someone who actually likes New World and I'm playing Tibia daily over it, and can confidently say its the superior game.
