Which is what the majority of the player base (both over and pvp) did, thereby leaving behind a near empty game world.
Yeah game is pretty much still alive, good for me since I only started playing this year with long term in mind.
Edit: Oh and OP, what most people don't know is that it's not New World that's dying. It's the whole MMO genre. More and more people aren't interested in what an MMO is and would rather play it's replacement like Battle Royales or just normal RPGs. Out of all the MMOs I've played (and I've played a large majority of them), people say the same thing. "This MMO is dying" and yes the genre is dying. Sooner or later MMOs of the future will be less grindy with more micro transactions and season passes.
This game is doomed and should be a lesson to devs and publishers.
Instead they waste their valuable Time and Money on trash,
when they could have simply played a Better Game.
