June 7 to June 10 2024 is their last chance to revive New World ... if not ... it will sink so fast.
From my experience, I find in OPR very frequently healers with specific builds that makes them incredible tanky and immortal. Sometimes they let me just hit while they don't even need to move and evade and their life doesn't go down. Then when they are tired to troll me and they go away like nothing.
Inside the points I usually focus healers and run after them trying to catch them and kill them, but they run in circles and they can heal themselves and keep healing their team. It's as if I were just an annoying mosquito.
The other situation I find very frequently are immortal tanks that go to enemy point at their base and stays there. He knows that to kill him needs to come at least 5 guys. So the strategic is very simple while 5 guys are trying to kill him the rest of his teams wins OPR. If you ignore this guy is a matter of time for him to capture and a friend to come and fully build the base.
These kind of players usually have a hatchet, because they can run away easily and heal themselves in case the situation gets complicated.
In case you start to critice my build, I play medium armor and Spear / SnS and I do a decent amount of damage till I meet these kind of troll game style.
I would like to add : I am playing that kind of way SNS/WH , but usually in a mmorpg, if you hold a point, they need to kill you first to take the point ... now not anymore in New World. That s sad and it take a lot from tanking and holding a point with small dmg output as they only have to outnumber you on the point and not even hit you once ! This is a bad mechanism to me for OPR and Battleground mode.
But many streamers and people are saying it, now days, they are turning MMORPG into Fortnite FPS kind a like and it pathetic and sad to see happening ! Having this kind of gameplay encourage people to use cheats to get views on youtube and twitch ...
In that situation it needs more than 3 to 6 guys to recover a point because it goes slowly since one is defending. This gives a lot of time to your team to take the other two points quick and rush to help you.
Also if your using hatchet you can troll the most part of players since they will follow you out of the point to try to kill you if you lure them.
This game is full of apes in OPR that love to follow guys in jungle, fight anywhere without sense and focus tanks without noticing the healer that is at 5 steps with a very visual healing staff healing without problems.
Ahahah so true .... would like to see a BIG Cross on Healers Character to point them easily and focus on them !
Def something wrong with ya build. i also play med sns/spear. the spear combo deletes healers. and if they run a ton of thrust protection, swap to sword to finish. ez.
Agree. As a healer, one guy usually won't kill me unless I do something dumb but a good player can drop you if they are skilled at timing their cc and burst. However, the only use for healers is to heal the team; if you are occupying the healer, he/she is not healing their teammates (as much). Also, 2 players who understand cc can easily and quickly take out healers. Most OPRs I die to the same couple of healer hunters over and over. This game encourages specialization: every build won't be able to kill every other build easily, but that does not make the game broken (there are other issues to be sure, but this recurring trope should be put to bed)
