regarding the outrage. AGS did a bad job communicating the changes so people freaked out and started feeding off misinformation.
If they add a offline mode that would actually be really impressive also just super smart.
Also when you write in a trailer "play solo or with friends" its easy to assume that they could mean offline as a possibility.
AGS did a bad job at something? Ya don't say...
😂
I think of the game Hellgate London which I like that does have a community online think if I'm not mistaken. Tho you gotta play like a older version of the game or use a fix file or something since the studio was too lazy to fix a 1 fps bug.
If people cared about it they would be playing the game. Seeing people review bomb the game in the tens of thousands is hilarious when they could just be playing the game.
LoL. They could not hang with the MO Multiplayer Online and added RPG. Now its a MORPG. Except its not a roll playing game.
Think of a drowning game trashing in the water. AGS is floundering.
For the little I know about the game I know it was a complete mess but when they put the game on Steam they were too lazy to fix the 1 fps bug. Literally all the other problems aren't as remotely as bad as that 1 bug.
Probably play it again until I reach that bug again, for the small amount of time I get to play I enjoy.
"Role-playing video games typically rely on a highly developed story and setting, which is divided into a number of quests. Players control one or several characters by issuing commands, which are performed by the character at an effectiveness determined by that character's numeric attributes."
They pretty much changed the tag from MMORPG to MOARPG which honestly means nothing as the game was already and ARPG before hand
"Definition. Action role-playing games emphasize real-time combat where the player has direct control over the characters as opposed to turn or menu-based combat while still having a focus on character's stats in order to determine relative strength and abilities."
Roll playing is just that playing a roll in chat and in game behavior. An evil troll death knight and a good hunter elf. You would play your roll as your char and faction dictate. It was left over from roll playing board games. As to control of characters that has nothing to do with MMO or RPG just simply not turn based play. There is nothing massive about NW or is it a roll playing game. It is a simple multiplayer online action game or MO. LOL. Its still a pig no mater how you dress it up.
