I already change my review to negative.

If the players change the review to negative, and send the negative ratio to 85%, Valve will be forced to interfere and accept refund even with high game play time.

So, I'm starting my review bomb now, hope people do the same, gonna get my money back and be happy with it.

Yeah, I kept a positive review even though Amazon done a lot of bad. But the second you scam people by shutting your games doors and removing access especially because you don't own their latest DLC, since your still waiting for them to fix base parts of the game it's big redflag in my books.

I'm hoping valve will get a ton of refund requests.

i sadly allready own the dlc, 2275hours i acctualy would have taken the refund now.

If players review bomb and send the negative review rate to 85% Valve will be forced to interfere with the situation, which would force Amazon to do something about it. I don't know what Amazon would do to fix the situation, but if Valve needs to do something, it would open refund, or force refund, to everyone who bought the game.

New World (MMORPG) will be removed from Steam Store, and servers will close.
New World: Aeternum (ARPG) will be added to Steam Store (a new entry).
If you have New World's DLC you'll get New World: Aeternum for free.
If you don't have New World's DLC you'll have to buy New World: Aeternum.

changed my review to negative. This was a bait and switch to force players to buy the expansion or they cant play anymore. That's pretty crazy TBH.

I know MMO's have expansions that are paid. I know, I buy them if it's a good game. But to lose access to the game entirely if you don't buy it, is pretty crazy. Plus their de listing and re listing a newly branded IP just to pull it off. I think their trying to pull a tamriel unlimited but at the same time forcing everyone to pay for the free update who hasnt bought the expansion yet. This is going to go south fast, Well it did.


I didnt buy the expansion because a basic mount function being behind it was a big no for me.

No. Their "update" is the re launch of the game, your stuff all carries over etc. However. If you didn't buy angry earth before the re launch in october. Then you'll have to re buy access to the game since now they have rolled the base game and dlc into one package coming october. Forcibly making people buy the DLC now in a round about way is kinda bonkers.

They straight up said that you will loose nothing and can still say i quote from them:

"Greetings Adventurers,
In the coming weeks you will learn much more about New World: Aeternum. Players who have already purchased the New World base game and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion will receive a free update on Oct. 15 when New World: Aeternum launches.

This free update will bring these players up to date with all of the new content in New World: Aeternum.
