Fan spins like crazy when playing.

I had a GeForce 2070s that had this problem with this game until it crashed.

Bought a GeForce 4070, but my fans seems to spin full up and down for some reason.

Only happens in new world. Anyone else?

This is such a broad and loaded question , I don't even know where to start answering. Check what your GPU is doing with GPU monitoring software, for starters use windows performance tab to at least check your GPU utilization. Perhaps based on the default fan curve of your GPU , heavy usage makes your fans kick up high for a moment, once it cools, it drops lower. Fan speed can be changed with software , also I don't know nothing about your PC case and efficiency of your airflow etc.....

Because new world is unoptimized as hell. You can listen fanboy fellas sweeting at every corner, but risk your PC life, or just forget the game, which is dying anyway. People already lost their SSDs, PSUs and graphic cards. There is a reason why new world is constantly loosing players. Your choice.

what above said game bricks pcs and laptops better play something else game is also bleeding player base fast due to bad devs choices and broken unbalancedness and game breaking bugs /crashes take ur pick at why u should avoid like the plague!

You GPU is too hot. Try running it a lower resolution 2k and 60 hz. Turn down the graphics in settings from ultra.

Im running 1440p high settings 145 fps

I've played a huge amount of games in my life, and I never had to do this in another game but New World.

I find it extremely hard to believe that no other game made the fans spin, it says u have 660 games on ur account too like what?

Im not talking about fan spinning.

Im talking about the game suddenly spinning my fans for max capactiy without reason and then go back down. Like airplane mode.

some gpu uses 0 rpm for silent operation, it won't turn on the fan until it gets to a set temp then it'll kick on until it cools down unless u make a custom fan curve in the gpu software

With the new GPUs you need to limit the frames in pretty much every game you play. Some games do it automatically, while others don't. Limit NW's frames to 60 or whatever your refresh rate is and you'll be fine. Turning vsync on should do it too.

What's happening is that your GPU is overheating, and it might be overheating because of the unlimited framerate. The power draw is insane, and NW doesn't really look after user hardware by default. Most other games do (mainly by limiting the FPS to the refresh rate), so you don't really notice it.

NW had this issue at launch where it was melting GPUs and the solution afaik was to simply limit the framerate.

Also I would check if the GPU is properly mounted and if the heat isn't causing issues like melting the board at the weak points, whether cables are properly seated, etc. Lots of common issues on the 40 series - great chips on garbage boards. Across the board.

Keep in mind you don't see frames that go above your monitor's refreshrate anyway, so it'll be fine to limit the game to that. It'll probably fix your issue.
