Are bots still a problem?

I quit this game about a year ago for one single reason, bots. I loved this game so much but gathering was completely ruined by bots, are they still around after one year of not playing?

I farm 24'7 for resources and crafting I still have yet to encounter a bot for the last 2 months. I have the same routes and because of that on occasion I get a DM asking if I am a bot because of my regular runs. I am not a fan boy at all as I feel some issues need to be addressed just like any other product per software like Windows, OSX, Linux, PC Games, etc. I only know what I see...1,668 hrs on record. It used to be bad...I play on the west coast servers, not sure how it is on the others. Sadly, every game has the bot war going. No offense to anyone.

I can tell you as a player on two servers running a bunch at lower levels, I see more bots than live characters, and the bots look like they are at least 50% level 60-65 players running bots for farming to keep them financed for PVP.

That seems like it's pretty well known when I've brought it up, though the dimmest always lie like a kid.

Lilith is worse than El Dorado, about 3 to 1.

This is not possible and pretty much one of the standard responses I see from the obvious botters. 100% denial, when just saying "yeah I see them but it's not an issue" would work perfectly, LOL!

I see them more than live players. Are you never outside in the lower level zones?

There are bots/cheats in every game that can slightly have them get over it. if you want to play the game play the game.

Nah, they should ban the bots but they don't care because it inflates their player numbers. Same reason why they don't ban gold sellers either.

Yep I am outside the lower levels. I am all over the height map at all times, especially since mounts were deployed. Been playing since release, same with Escape from Tarkov. Bots frustrate the foook out of me in both games. They exist. They are real. If I see them, I report them. I just haven't seen any in 2 months in my travels in New World. Tarkov, I sure as hickly heckly delio often do. You know what mate...I bet I see one tonight now that I am going to be OCD about it!! LOL

Edited: El dorado starting area Windsward 1-17. No bots in the starting area. Found only 1 level 2 character and confirmed not a bot.

*Going after toy maker for drops and to help folks out in Elyssian Wilds, will hunt for bots. Will update. **update got my arse handed to me by toymaker. No bots though. Will update.
*Update" Nada in this area and also confirmed per social list and also global chat.
*Heading to Morningdale to do my fiber run which was a known run for bots since release. Will update.
*Update: No bots in Morningdale. In fact there was a ton of silk and fiber available and I only saw two players that I know making the fiber and silk run. I feel it is because the server population has reduced as this game goes in waves much like GW2. I'll head back to the high end content. Will update.
*FML no bots just yet. Also, every one is PvPing as Purple is dominating.
I am obsessed now! Ty TC lol, What server are you on, you have been playing hard!

Man, i dunno whats worse.

A bot driving the resouces pricing low (i can buy cheap mats)
Or someone who cant sell high, and make bank in the process
Or the filthy casual who cant gather theire desired nodes.

Ive seen alot of them in the lower starting areas
I dont give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about them.

Any massively multiplayer online game will have theire fair share of bots, gold sellers and cheaters, atleast for the time being.

If you cant get around them, you might wanna play single player games.

I notice you spend alot of time here bashing the game you hate. Maybe you should try Farming simulator it might be more fun for you than trolling the NW forum.

Facts is not trolling, u can cope for the next 4 months with no major updates to look forward to. Maybe the entire game will fit on 1 server by that point.
