I can't AFFORD to upgrade ANYTHING!

It's so depressing to know I have artifacts that I can't upgrade because the cost of seals and matrix's are friggin ridiculous. I'm glad there's people in this game with money a plenty. But for those of us that have no money it's extremely frustrating. It's a reason why most people just stop playing the current season.

Is there anything being done about this? I swear most my gold disappears every day just switching between PVE builds and PVP builds.

Stop switching builds and watch some farming videos. There is gold a plenty to be found if you just do a few tasks daily.

I sympathize with the players that come home from work, get the family situated and log on to decompress and enjoy New World. I agree that there are ways to make money, however it should not consume your entire game time to achieve. Those that have no issues with coin get to progress, while those with little get stuck and quit. This is a legitimate issue and does need correcting somehow. (Farming materials just for cool downs is near impossible with the current bottle neck of Orichalcum and Iron Wood). That being said, those with more time will always have more coin and some form of sink is necessary, it just can't be a gating mechanism for those who struggle to make coin.

@Crunktanium, the farming videos are a problem, not a potential solution. Once the video comes out that area is burnt during peek hours. The streamers use it to drum up views so they can continue to get paid but it actually HURTS the game, not help it. So not a helpful solution by any stretch of the imagination.

The last developers monthly talk (it's own youtube) indicated that some of the items needed may be easier to get with the next season or patch.

Personally I sympathize but have quit trying to get anything to 700. Hell, I can't even get the 700 stuff I got in the free season pass finished because of the restricted materials necessary.

And how much better will a 700 great axe be than the 697 one I have now that I got out of a chest somewhere?

its not particularly hard to get 700GS full set for 1 spec realy easily tbh, problem is people keep swapping due to meta shift and complain there broke.
ive been sitting on the weakest weapon in the game cause i have a build for it and just waiting for them to fix the abysmal state of muskets atm :D

Getting the top gear score, at the current update in any MMO will never be easily achievable. its designed this way to challenge the burn out players, remember a MMO must appeal to hundreds of thousands of players, who all notice different things and enjoy a variety of aspects. FFXIV, GW2, WOW all make the newer content challenging and difficult to get because if its too easy, people get frustrated/satisfied and stop playing. The goal here is to keep a player population while keeping the fun factor manageable. I Understand where your coming from, but in games like these, either your're happy with gear just below the cutting edge or you're grinding to the current peak gear score.
