new world combat is very bad and needs stagger returned
clearly the combat made more sense when you could stagger people. now it makes no sense and is low skill just to appease redditors who quit the game anyway and don't even pvp in the first place.

Well to be fair to AGS, the combat is miles better than anything out there MMO wise. Tab target, yuck :)

Nice joke, New World's combat is worst then any of the populated action combat MMOs. It's pretty sad really New World combat was much better when it had 3 weapon bars and stagger.

It's really not. You've apparently not played some of the more niche mmos. NW plays like a PS2 action Rpg. Even Tera, arguably, had more depth and smoother combat.

I play as a bow + spear/rapier/vg/sns. The bow is the only weapon that I like in this game. The problem is the amount of nerves that bowmen get from patch to patch.
Any FS kid can burst me with 2 AoE spells that deal like 7k dmg each with DoTs (or even more). Yes, I have 25% resist... And I tried playing Featherweight with 2 heavys. And even I tried fire mage just for testing and it is sooooo easy to kill ppl on medium purple gear comparing to BiS bow.

Healing in PvP is also overpowered, when a good healer can't be killed by 3 ppl in arena for 2 minutes.

I feel like ppl who design this game don't play any of MMOs like ESO/WoW/GW2. This game is sooo badly designed. In every single MMO bow gameplay base on dodges and running, because when someone reaches you, you simply die. In NW bruisers are like 2 times faster than any bow with haste perks... Basically any class has tons of grits, movement, fortify and other stuff, but not bows... OPR map is a crap map that does not have many obstacles that blocks archers and muskets from bursting ppl from one mile away that's why instead of remaking the map and creating more obstacles, they constantly nerf bow. I've been playing since the game launched and despite this game is awful in PvE and basic world story, I loved the PvP. Now it is balanced for casual players and more skillful weapons are nerfed to the bone and easy one buffed.

I think I'm gonna leave NW, because it is slowly dying and I don't think AGS is able to maintain the interest over years to make NW a real rival for other known MMOs. Time to say I'm sorry to ESO or GW2.

Musket imo is horrendous now aswell.
The loss of the zoom function removed it from being a long range weapon to a short/mid range one where it gets out done by any other ranged weapon at that point
and the swap to projectile makes any kinda of longer range shot completely RNG wether or not it hits or not since best you can do it aim where u think they are gonna be only to have them move slightly which then make the shot miss so realy musket turned into a very RNG weapon unless ur short range which it get out shinned by any other range weapon.
Kinda hope they would bring back the old musket with a musket artifact for sharpshooter tree (that way can nerf the dmg on to balance the weapon if needed without effecting any other musket)

either way im hating the RNG feel on the musket now and it was the only weapon i realy enjoyed so not sure how much longer ill be playing at this rate
