Server population, forced to play on dead server?

TLDR: Returning to new world want to play again and try new content. Stuck choosing a server on lvl 60 because there's 3 US West servers. 1 is a fresh start ineligible for transfer. 1 server is locked El Dorado. Only US West server eligible is the lowest pop server out of all servers. Anything I can do? US East servers are >80-90 ping.

Hi all, I'm coming back to the game after playing it at launch and a few months after. I haven't experienced any new content. I got to 60 and quit I think the last new thing that came out when I was playing was Void Gauntlet.

- My lvl 60 now has to select a world to play on. The only option for me is Leo on US West which has abysmal population numbers. I'm really wanting to jump back in and give it a go from all the updates and QOL changes that I've heard about. But I don't want to play a single player game on Leo.

Every where I'd want to play is locked for transfers and character creation. El Dorado is where I'd want to go but of course it's locked. US east has some better population servers but my ping would be >80-90. So the excitement of wanted to experience the game like I did at launch is gone. Does anyone have some suggestions or could talk me into playing on low pop server? I don't know if there is phasing in zones but the reason I wanna play a mom is to interact with other people open world pvp etc. If I'm on a server like Leo I know there's going to be like 4 people running around in town and that's just depressing. It doesnt make the game feel alive at all.

Just go east bro. I rolled west on launch and then east for fresh and they were both fine experiences. If east is unbearable you can transfer back to el dorado when it opens back up in however many weeks/months from now. Better to play on a fun server than get marginally better ping.

I personally enjoy it much more when it's less. Easier to do things solo and chat is much more civil. It's more like a social then. WHen population get to 60% or more, that when it's less civil. In gameplay and chat.

You also gotta think about one thing and population. This game is beautiful. the mix of environment, sounds, and graphics is pretty amazing for an MMORPG. Having a huge population ruins the feel of the environment.

Especially when you enjoy a good bit of ASMR when you do your tradeskills. IMO
