Why is this ♥♥♥♥ appearing in the middle of my screen and how do i disable it?

How do i disable all of those on screen notifications? Who thought that was a good idea anyway? Reprimand that person.

Also, i keep having to turn off pvp, war, housing etc. notifications in Game settings because the game resets it and turns them back on after a game restart.

I'd like an answer to this too. It's a fairly new feature, and the setting for turning off territory messages does not affect these.

this game seems to have a laundry list of little annoyances like this.....will they ever be fixed? Not anytime soon I'd wager.

The developers seem to have a "It's good enough" attitude with a lot of the small annoyances they've allowed into their game without realizing it makes them look like poor developers and probably makes some people move on from the game. I actually started playing this game in Sept. Got tired of the rinse-repeat cycle of WOW raiding/boring story, and I find that I love the crafting system...even if it's a crazy grind, so its kept me interested despite the things that get me aggravated, like:

No way to toggle (completely off so it is bypassed)the ...now annoying... video when starting the game

No way to move your fav character to the top of your character list

Storage window pulldown...or should I say pull up?... jankyness where it pops up then immediately down so you have to go pick the town storage you wanted over again. sometimes if I press "too fast" the menu actually reverses and scrolls down from the top...this is just 3rd rate programing type stuff where the developers don't do anything about it because it works "most of the time"

If i am changing gear sets in the wild...sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes I get a message saying i can't change becuase i'm in combat....but I'm not in combat....and the message flashes up with a sound for everytime you try to do it while its bugging out.
I tested it and spammed the button during a bug out...the message kept appearing for ten minutes after I stopped spamming...even when I had continued on my merry gathering course, fighting, mining, harvesting...just kept getting the spam in combat message, it didn't effect game play except for the fact that this big line of text kept appearing over the middle of my screen....

Now I'm not saying its good to spam a key in frustration if a system isnt working...but the above shows the poor.....housekeeping, they have for their systems.

Just the logistical set up of many menu systems in game are poor or have bugs that glitch them 1 out of 50 uses...but we use them a lot more than that each gaming session so, yeah can be annoying.

Also things like : I do a mote run ..then have to sit at the arcane station and press craft for every type of mote for each successive level of mote up to omni...are brain numbing.

But the concepts as a whole are great, I love the style and detail of the graphics engine, and the combat is a lot more fun then the bloated nonsense wow has turned into.

Interested in how to turn it off. Recently returned and the pop up doesnt give any info on how to participate or what to do, just annoying start/end notifications.

I thought I found the setting to turn off notifications but
1. it didnt turn it off
2. it instead stopped giving me group invite notifications. doh!

the notification settings are bugged and have been for a looooong time. as you can see the thread is old and nothing has changed.

I thought they did fix it, but broke it again with the Aeternum relaunch.
