Severe lag issues (tried everything)

So for some reason this game went down the drain for me after the patch that updated cross server pvp content. I have no idea why but the entire game is super laggy. It doesn't matter if i'm doing pvp or pve. I've done EVERY SINGLE THING recommended on Amazon's page. Their support is garbage. I have no idea why this randomly started happening. I've reset my drivers, using port forwarding, not running anything in the background, no viruses. nothing. It just randomly started after that patch and will not go away. The game is unplayable. Does anybody think uninstalling and reinstalling might help? My software is verified. I can't think of anything else. the game ran very smoothly for me up until that update.

Did a full uninstall and reinstall and of course it didn't do anything. It did free up some memory but that's the last of my concerns.

its the same for me, i also did everything they recommend on their ,,help'' site and also contacted the support, they just said that they are aware of the problem, i too did uninstall and reinstall, it didn't help the slightest.

I cant even get past the amazon start cutscene now after deleting and reinstalling the game. Updating drivers. Disabling IVP6 and whatever else ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Go to run type %appdata% and delete the AGS folder that should fix the amazon logo lag for you but you have todo it everytime you wanna play untill they fix it sadly

I have played last few days as brand new spanking comp arrived. i9, 3090, 4tb ssd, 32gb ram - so spec is a monster. Played really well super smooth to start with then from about 18:00 on Sun lag and glitching kept happening - at first thought it was the server capacity (still do) so the game itself cant cope. But other people said theirs was running smooth - so rebooted PC just to see if it was mine. Loaded back up today also and same issue - but worse today..... Not sure really why - i highly doubt its the comp or my connection as thats 150mbps too..... Any ideas?

I have seen a marked difference in the games performance between the busy and off periods, so I dont think you are far off on the server itself being part of the lag. Another big part, at least for me is the cities are terribly CPU bound and when they fill up with so many players at night, the game engine struggles. Add the two together in the busy periods and you have the perfect storm for hitching and lag.

So if you've tried everything, what did support say to you, considering they help tons of people and also posting on the bugs section, can you link to that post as well so i can see what others have said too please? Oh you've not played the game for very long either I see.

I swapped to a 2 terabyte ssd and put steam and new world on the ssd. I've yet to skip once since.

I put the game on an SSD and it worked for me. Its been fine since.
