Nature and Elemental Damage will increase poison dot damage.
The reason they have not added actual damage modifier increases to DOT is simply because there is only 1 solid mitigation for which then has to be mandatory , introducing an entire new "effect" or in this way DOT type of gameplay which butchers almost all builds as vigor would be the key perk to have to reduce bleeds etc. this would have been too dominant and therefor they have not touched on those grounds yet. however i did read they are adding this in a future DLC. i will link the video / post here if i find it again but it's been over a year ago.
But the minor changes they talked about a while back consists of stacking bleed 5x like smolder etc etc but balancing out the DOT.
so in the end even if they do add this DOT mechanic where you can increase the dmg of DOT it will probably still be nerfed as hell on launch
