im keeping the game up to date in case i want to play the new expac but this is starting to piss me of.
stop spamming out tiny updates that forces people to unpack the entire game again you idiots

I agree. The patching process is terrible because you have to patch the whole +80 GB of data for a 500 MB update. Absolutely atrocious.

i have never seen another game force you to unpack the ENTIRE GAME for every micro patch so how about you stfu about the coding comments. i know nothing about it but clearly they dont know much more than i do either

Game gets worse each patch. im queueing for the 3rd time in 3k queue cause i keep getting random crashes

It was just 13,77GB yesterday and about 600MB today. The 80GB is just a number from your harddrive and where changes happen. Got nothing to do with download or unpacking.

the forced unpack is a steam thing. ARK players know this pain. its not NWS fault

you cant be real mate.
after you download those 600mb worth of files steam will continue to load in the download section until all of those 80GB of files are verified or some other bs reason so what should have been a 1-4 min update turns into 5 hours of update time

i complain because if i bought the expansion i would have been able to play it for 2 hours since the release because of the constant micro updates that forces you to compress the entire game. i dont care what others are complaining about but not being able to play the game at all is a pretty valid complaint imo

Sitting here racking my brain, could you help me and my buddies out. What games unpack the whole game again after each small patch?

As you mentioned the phrase "so many", please could you list 5. My friends and I are clueless and you seem like a knowledgeable chap.

When Elden Ring did patches I don't remember having to dl'd the entire game everytime.

In fact I don't remember having to do that with any game I own.

Just some really poor dev work by Amazon.
