It's a common requirement from for a lot of games these days. Is this some lame attempt to get clown reacts lol.
Game will load better whenever they get to releasing the DX12 update, but SSD is pretty much mandatory these days with the amount of texture streaming is required.

Starfields minimum specs require an SSD. I would imagine most Sony games going forward will also require an SSD. Seems to be a new way to share the load between the cpu, and gpu.

Star Citizen is like this as well as Starfield. Looks like it might be the next progression in gaming. I expect most modern AAA games from now on will be like this as well.

Not true. Star Citizen won't work without SSD. Granted it's still in early access but whatever. Pretty sure even after release, if that would even happen, it'll still require SSD. Also, 350GB is plenty of space. I had to move games around to store it on my 1TB SSD as I barely had 40GB left so cry us a friggin' river! At least you had enough space to install without sacrifice.

Crucial is quite good and that's pretty damn cheap, probably even cheaper than your quoted price but yeah, I agree here.
