Changing Faction
I transferred my character to my friends' server and want to change her faction to their faction but it says I cannot join the faction that is currently controlling the most territories...

Do I HAVE to wait for them to have less territories than the other one to join them?

Right now I'm in Covenant but I want to change to Marauders. I don't want to join them because they are top dog right now... I just want to join them so I can be in the same company as my friends. I don't want to start over again, that is why I transferred a character and my only other character is in Syndicate on another server.

But if I have to just be a Covie running around with Marauders, I will! And if they PvP, I'll tell them what Covenant is up to. Might as well let me switch. ;)

I think the right answer here is yes.
Server are monitored and you can not join just the best or most populated faction.
That would ruin the (in)balance even more and everyone would just do that every now and then. You can always only join the ones that are not top! But I dont know exactly if it is a population thing or a territory thing at the moment cause they changed that several patches ago and I never had to change faction and probably never will. Unless I want to farm other transmogs!

Just says I cant join green because of it has more territories... so it isn't a population thing and I'm pretty sure I could very well just make a new character and go green but I spent time on this character and don't want to lose all the progress just to do that. So if my friends want to pvp, I'll just be a little rat and spy.
