Funny, how no one complained about the males char models with full heads of hair, rippling six packs and arms like tree trunks. Those are't unrealistic in any way it seems.
they always looked terrible. all of them. there is one face on both that is "barely alright" everything else is just ugly-town.
This game could have come alot farther if they had used a better character editor interface with alot more options. this is runescape vanilla tier character editing.
people like to build their own look for their characters. A simple height slider even goes a long way for visual differences on the battlefield. Which makes things more realistic artificially. but it works.
i hope they do a char editor update and give out a free redo to all characters. that would be mint. I dunno if it'll ever happen. But here's to hoping.
I guess i get the concept of real people don't look like that.. Mostly it seems woman complaining about the giant tits skinny waist, round ass. But, as i said, real men don't look like video game heroes either.
That's often the entire point. This character is the ideal, not the norm. I can't shoot lighting bolts out of my arse and smite all my foes with skill and guile either.
If i wanted a gimpy middle aged man with bad knees, i don't have to play a game for it.
Personally, when it comes to games, i really don't care what my char looks like. I've played many games with preset char models and it never bothered me. Hell, i loved the witch doctor in D3. You ever looked at that guy.... jeesh!
When it comes to game developing, i care about the game, not what i look like. But it seems a all or nothing sort of thing. Either you let people create what they want or say ♥♥♥♥ it, this is what the char looks like, deal with it. In the middle just seems to piss people off.
Personally, i think if the game is good, it doesn't matter what the char looks like. But maybe i'm just a weirdo.
Really? You knew to the world, people buy overpriced crap like bags, shoes, clothes, cars based on the brands everyday. The bottom line is people are stupid. lol...
You don't care, other people do, that's why it comes up all the time for discussion. The character creator is so basic and mundane for 2023.
But hey, they will use the same engine for the LotR, so the characters look will fit better in that universe
They couldn't get this right so what hope is there for another LotR? That will be another epic failure.
Ooh sorry I forgot the chitstorm Blizzard went through before they censored WoW even going so far as to turn a female character in a painting into a banana.
You have an inferiority complex about Blizzard/WoW - all you ever do is defend NW by running them down. You are right, the character creator in NW is amazing and really representative of modern programming wonders and development.
Since you are a member of a woke group on Steam, I expected nothing different from you.
They've mentioned expanding the character creator options in the past, but thus far haven't done, announced or teased anything.
