is this game still bricking 3090's?

i have got Asus Rog Strix 3090 and i have a fear that this game brick my card. Anyone playing with the same card?

the issue with the bricking cards was due to the cards themselves, they where faulty from the factory and couldn't handle the 1000+ fps in the main menu & loading screens. they have now limited menu fps so even if your card is faulty new world wont brick it, but any other game that doesnt limit menu fps can

This^, cards from asus & msi nvr got burnt, only those cheap ones.. buy cheap expect same results.

As always, it's hillarious where these discussions go. I had a faulty 3090 as well and got a full refund, which I used to buy a 3080ti from a different producer.
The 3080ti still has some issues with power consumption, e.g. sometimes the low-power warning lights flash despite a very good psu. I have to disconnect power completely to get rid of the warning.

It's was the GPU itself, no game to blame, but it's always a good idea to limit your frames to 60 in most games. You can still set higher frames for individual games.

EVGA wasn't a "cheap" brand (they dont manufacture GPUs anymore) they were just defective.
