Knowing AGS, you won't be able to walk through mounts and they will block cities for weeks.
Like Ogres in original Everquest blocking doorways lol
This game is more confused than a person who wants to switch gender, they strung pvp players along and have released poor pve content.
also running around the world slowly is not the problem here, it's the lazy and disgusting quest ""design"". I had literal questlines where i had to travel between A and B like 5 times, doing the same thing again and again. Kill 15 enemies. Okay thanks now go back and loot 4 crates. Okay now go back and kill the boss sitting in the bush. Like god just let me do all that at once
Yes, the quest design is very dull. The world itself is quite beautiful, but going back and forth across the same ground over and over, to satisfy the same mindless quest giver, does get repetitive fast no matter how nice looking a game is.
It's fine when there are local way points, but many large areas have none, as you note. Also, an improvement would be that I can just port from wherever to a fast travel point, like ESO lets you do for a fee.
There are some things I like about NW, but one of the main reasons I've stopped logging in of late (I only hit 40 hours and level 43), is I am dreading the repetitive quests combined with slow travel mechanics.
agree NO horses in towns. :) they poo too much
But yeah, imagine when mounts come what price will have, if a gear saving slot cost 5$
