Some people a few weeks ago were reporting hitching in game but I never saw it myself
If im to be frank here, for how the game looks, it runs remarkably well and with lower than expected resources. My GPU is never slammed for instance, and CPU use isnt crazy. Im acutally not sure where all this GPU destruction, poor performance, is coming from. Its like one of the only major positives about the game, for how it looks, it runs really well. Some people seem prone to game issues, ive never been one, so take that for what its worth as well.
Keep an eye on your temps and re-paste it if necessary.
I still dont understand why people dont do this in every game, or via their graphics card software. Like I try not to be smug about the fact ive had so many systems over the years and nearly no game issues with any of them, but I really do feel like people who have all these issues are doing something wrong on their end, be it lack of proper updates, or tinkering with their overclock software.
Then again, you probably are not very smart buying a 3090 to play 10 year old mmorpgs and a few new games....
Considering its a 3080... I think he's in the clear. Where on earth do you get a 3090? Calling HIM stupid while you cant even get the card right?? lol
PS - I bought a Radeon Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XTX 24GB GDDR6... for New World.
Just because you cant afford better, doesnt make anyone else "dumb"
Oh and before you spout off anything else, I built my systems from scratch since 1994. I KNOW what Im doing.
My 7900XTX is like a warm blanket. Doesnt matter WHAT I choose to play, I know I'll be playing it at max settings on my 38" 3440x1440p Ultrawide display at 144hz.
If you want to go sure, just set the global frame rate limit to your monitor refresh rate using the Nvidia control panel. This way you can be sure, that no game is able to exceed the monitor refresh rate, which might can kill a GPU with issues.
GPU issues happen .
Recent GPU'S have weird power requirements, in that power spikes can over whelm the PSU
