Make your own lobby? I don't know how that could be such a hard concept.
NW got most of it's inspiration from WOW because while FFXIV has been successful as of late it wasn't until WOW went on a big decline after Shadowlands and Shadowbringers came along that it really blew up. And frankly nobody has surpassed or even come near the player count to date that WOW once had. So considering when this game was in the development stages the direction they took was that of a very successful game. You obviously are too young to remember a time when there was no such thing as a group finder. And when you died you also didn't get put back at the start or save point within the dungeon. Imagine having to start a dungeon all over again upon death after spending 5 mins to run back from the graveyard or at least having to clear all the trash again. Players these days have so damn easy and yet still find things to complain about.
I mean they should be making PVP servers and private streamer servers for twitch, maybe enhancing loot tables and increasing rare dropped recipes, adding caravan trading with escorts to tie the crafter/traders together with the pvpers.
Has AGS stated they have unlimited time and money for this game to make this all work? I wouldnt want to do a raid with this kind of combat tbh...
If people really played for PvP than we wouldn't have people begging for forced flagging or PvP zones as they'd be able to run into other flagged people consistently.
I don't know what you're on about, New World is about as far removed from WoW as Skyrim is. They said they were "inspired" by the likes of the older mmo's but those were/are just buzzwords used for generating hype, since they applied none of the lessons learned by their so called "inspirations". So making the assumption that NW is directly inspired by WoW and or FF is wildly inaccurate. Aside from its somewhat unique aiming mechanics, nothing about New World is noteworthy, it missed every mark imaginable.
Modern gamers are nickle and dimed at every available opportunity, so they will always be irate about everything. Old school gamers had it easy, since they got to play games made by
people who wanted to create quality worlds and experiences and had a passion for what they were doing. Now, it's just a job and the experience is secondary at best.
LOL Impossible to find... a thread about New World without the White Knight Crunktanium ... I start to assume he has a spider for Steam Forum and he receive an alert for new threads LOOOOL This is how a White knight works for AGS
"How to find players to do dungeon?"
Change game. This game is going to collapse in a Year. Best choice, switch to Diablo 4.
LMFAO. Diablo 4 BLOWS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHUNKS!
You just discribed the original idea of the game and how the alpha actually was.
no fixed towns, but players build them.... regional ressources so you had to form caravans to get it to crafting stations or for great trade oppertunities because of full loot pvp everywhere, etc pp.
Then the PvE-locusts got into alpha, cried about pvp (in a pure pvp game) so amazon changed its direction to the stuff we have now.... teleporting everywhere, linked storages, no regional ressources anymore, no intentions to pvp at all, and lackluster PvE and entirely confusing concepts since the core game still relies on the idea of pure pvp (hence why the servers and the world is so small for an mmorpg).
