Google/youtube search the comedy short called "The Process (a.k.a. Designing The Stop Sign Video) " If I had to conjecture, this would be a bit more akin to what is perhaps the process going on the wide background of people on the project.
2. Devs intentionally do not interact on this forum in this capacity, posting a rant like this to them is rather pointless here. You'd be better served ranting on their official forums but it would not have any impact to be quite honest based on your assessments.
Even then, the official forum is overwhelmed by its own community, and they keep the circus there for control purposes.
These forums get read.
1. Shifting to discord let's them control the narrative even more because it leaves just here and reddit being the most visible only places showing any significant contentiousness for one.
2. Since they intentionally do not interact on these forums, it lets them lessen the need for dev interactions and of course their website's moderators will just be lessened and shifted to a few on discord instead. In other words, it lets them have less labor resource needs.
There are a few other reasons I could cite but its mainly optics resource control to them.
All things the vocal majority begged for that you obviously didn't notice or ignored. If more people wanted PVP it would be reflected by the numbers. They have the numbers they can see what players are doing in game with their time and which classes are on top. You don't have those numbers and all you can form is your opinion of what the majority wants or the game needs. Players also begged for all these damage reductions as everyone is trying to get other classes knocked in the ground so they can have easier wins. Hell you got players complaining they can't kill everyone in OPR as tanks. In short everyone has a problem and their own simple solution. Even if the devs follow that someone else will ridicule them for changing something that wasn't broken or didn't need change etc.. There is literally nothing people wont complain about even something as simple as paid skin no one has to buy.

I think they are just being light footed about making changes to nut ruffle many feathers at once. That or they are following WOW in creating a seasonal META which makes people play alternate builds/classes instead of remaining in their comfort zone.
Other than the dungeon maps and a few weapons they can't even claim they created anything actually new in terms of content.
I hope other players see how much recycling of mechanics they do on a regular basis. The newest dungeon just copies and pastes existing player weapon abilities on a new enemy called "human".
Maybe, but there is a big difference in what it takes to switch builds in NW and WoW. Apples to Oranges. Would take less time and money to level a new wow toon. Plus wow has decent pve and pvp by comparison. New World only has graphics going for it at this point.
