It has PVP in it and people partake in it whether you like the current format of that or not. That makes it PVP too. They are also working on revamping the PVP side of the game more-so than other things really in the grand scheme of things. Sure adding more PVE content will come naturally but as for where they are focusing their team in terms of manpower tasked with changing current content, its all moving forward for PVP improvements.
I mean, you are being kind-of petulant in the way you write and a little pedantic so allow me to be also. If a game has any PVP modes or means for players Vs players then its PVP right? It's like if you did not wipe your childish arse properly and got skids in your skimpies i'd say " haha you've ♥♥♥♥ your pants " and you'd prob say " no i have not its just a tiny bit " and well.... i dont debate established fact and the facts would be that you ♥♥♥♥ your pants pal, and the facts are New World is a PVP game and will continue to be. Ta Ta
Was 2 sentences a clear enough rebuttal?
Only rapidly ageing/balding millennials still use boomer as an insult tho, so your both old
This ;)
Can't really see any other reason why you would cry about it.
This soyboys "mmorpg" are not mmorpgs anymore they ruined the genre for all the real oldschool players that loved this type of games all these soyboys should go and play some solo rpg or sum and stop contaminating mmorpgs it is disgusting.
We will have to wait throne and liberty to come out hoping that the crystal generation doesn´t ruin it too.
New World is precisely the opposite. Build-crafting in New World could be so much more fun, and engaging, but it's been stripped of any unique or redeeming qualities.
Want to stack a bunch of lifesteal to create a cool lifesteal build? Too bad, that would be too strong in PvP, so you can't do that. Want to specialize in your favorite skill, and have a bunch of perks synergize together? Too bad. You get like 3 requirement-based perks that cannot stack.
AGS either doesn't know how to make enjoyable build crafting, or intentionally neutered it for the sake of keeping PvP manageable.
Why did you even type this...
Can you explain this, though? What makes it not an MMO.
If we all agree that an MMO is a game where a player interacts with large amounts of players, then New World certainly meets that criteria.
I've very curious as to your reasoning behind such a statement.
Last time Dog played was during the free weekend a while back so although thier information is out of date they do have some interesting perspectives on game design, some I agree with and others I do not.
Thankfully, this is not the standard. The standard is a game where the player has large numbers of interactions with other players.
Usually this standard is accompanied by a persistent game world on a dedicated server.
New World is an MMO. There are MMO's out there with less concurrent players than a single New World server.
I do agree the trading post should be a global trading post with it's own server and data, that all New World servers can access. However that doesn't make it not an MMO.
