Overwolf mini map

where do i find the Overwolf mini-map on steam, a while back i had a prompt to install it but now I would like to but I cant find it.

i found it to be a laggy waste of time, didn't show anything worth seeing apart from topographical stuff and uninstalled it soon after

They removed the nodes, you can still use it but it doesnt show anything useful. It used to show node locations, it doesnt anymore.

They changed their policy so that use of any and all 3rd party mods ends in a perma-ban, so there aren't any mini maps that are usable now unfortunately
That new world map site is still very handy though if you have a second monitor or are okay with tabbing in and out of the game

That was technically always the policy, even if the communication regarding said policy was unclear and wishy washy.

Actually you can use a second screen for the map that the app provides that doesn't get put on the game screen itself and it doesn't violate any ToS. So if you use Overwolf just for position then combine it with AeternumMap.gg on your second screen it is a valuable tool to have without violating any policies.

The minimap is legit & confirmed by devs, as long you don't use it to show the resources !
But tbh in this case i find it useless, don't need a minimap to show me the road lol

Anyone saying you cannot be banned for using it is incorrect. As recently as May of this year, AGS changed their stance on the add on. Overwolf can natively send live data to third party sites. This alone makes it ban worthy.
Have people used the add on without getting banned?
Many have claimed to. Have people used the add on and gotten banned? Many have claimed to.
Did AGS say it was okay to use the mod? Yeah back in November 2021.
Has AGS Customer Support stated they will ban people for using the add on? Yes, they have this year.

Can you post a link to them officially saying this? I was interested in using it but the only official post I could find says it's ok to use it so long as it's just pulling location data.

The statement itself is extremely vague though and does not specifically say that overwolf is fine to use and if you actually read the terms it says anything that uses an overlay could result in a ban.

I wish they'd just be more clear on this matter and give a definitive yes/no answer rather than this cryptic messaging nonsense.

Are you using an addon that pulls more than your location? You need to stop immediately, as you are subject to action from the moderation team.

so basically what you said is correct, if the addon(in this case the minimap) is showing more than the characters location, then the players must stop using it.

If you continue to read the posts about that the cheating that was suspected wasn't overwolf it was due to the guys bad latency and high lag...the part about overwolf if you keep reading not just the first post is that if you use the mini-map.....it could possibly violate ToS...I dont use the mini-map...I use the second screen and an app map of the game which doesn't get put into the actual game so no violation of terms...and as for showing nodes that you haven't unlocked it doesn't show nodes like that it shows potential locations of nodes which have been marked by players. Again so if you going to complain do so who cares but until they and by they I mean the Devs post on the front of the new world login screen saying we have a certain amount of time to stop using any apps or mods period or anything that give you an advantage just like the post was saying like programmable mice and keyboards and 3rd party software then use overwolf in conjunction with the Aeternum-map.gg app on a second screen and you are not violating any terms of service.....
