Sell or salvage

I'm around level 20. I have alot of weapons I don't need. Selling them only yields several coins. Is it better to just salvage them?

I salvage all my goods... the pay out isn't worth it.. but do buy the stuff I want or need, which is worth it and dirt cheap ironically enough

i mean i sell only blues around 100-150 each and they seem to sell so anything lower than a blue i salvage.

I was always salvaging anything lower than blue - in fact even blue and above regularly got salvaged. Then I made a new character on a FS world and started to sell stuff like crazy!

Gear that looks useless to me / us may actually still sell. There is also the fact, like it or not, that some players are not clued up and will buy something when it really would be easier / cheaper / better just to play and use what the game drops. Sellers can take advantage of that - the honour and honesty in playing the game that way may be questionable but a sellers gonna sell.

Remember too that you get 100 sell slots [from memory - not got game on] and anything unsold is returned. Just fill those slots with anything if you not got good stuff to sell - salvage things that return unsold. A rule to remember is not to sell stuff that you would lose money on - game gives a warning if you try to.

There are also some things that are relatively easy to get that some players may still believe hard to get [mostly gathered mats] that can be sold for a reasonable cash injection - especially for lower level characters.

Generally I salvage gear under blue and only sell gathered mats it turns out I do not need. Occasionally a knowledge of the TP on a given server will lead to 'useless' as it where gear being put up for sale and actually selling. Even a small profit is profit!

On Fresh Start economy isnt destroyed, so things sell.
You will get to your 2000 salvage cap fairly easily if you dont die alot.
The Salvage revamp to be made "fun" is not a fun thing to worry about, it's more of a filler for missing content.

Sell:

• Anything with Luck.
  
• Anything with Reinforced Luck.
  
• Anything with Trade Processing Skills.
  
• Anything with PVP perks.
  
• Anything with Leach.
  
• Anything with Good perks for abilities. (lots of bad perks out there that clutter the game)
  
• Anything with Crit Chance / Crit Damage.

Salvage:

• Anything with Bad Stats/ things that dont scale.
  
• Greens. (unless luck/trade skill)
  
• Blues. (unless luck/trade skill)
  
• Anything with Bad perks for abilities. (lots of bad perks out there that clutter the
  
• Anything that's [Bind on Pickup] that isn't Yellow Quality. (600+ gs)

sell anything you make money on. ive sold many green, blue items and some at over 100 . just try. if something doesnt sell in 3 days replace it with another item . easy and fun

lol this couldnt be more false, i sell every blue for 75gold no matter what it is, they literally all sell. put them up for 3 days, sold. i promise you. dont listen to these idiots who probably dont have over 40,000 gold

Salvage till you are at your cap. The chances of getting "scraps" are worth it. Selling your scraps can be good gold. Or use them for skilling up or needed mats.

Once you hit your parts cap, start paying attention to purples and higher for market.

Some scraps can sell for a fair price.

It's cause they are used as scrap fodder. You are getting your money, but less risk.

It's a good tactic, but I rather salvage the Blues to get scraps for better use. More risk, but rewards are worth it.

Well, I think so. But the RNG gods have been fair to me.
