My latency is good. Where do you live and what is your provider?
Though I still wonder why the physical location for a server, which the game says is a EU server, is located in effing OREGON! But I guess that's AGS logic.
Thank you good sir, you made my day!
I stopped playing because of this. You grind for nothing.
As I said, I was able to narrow the problem down to my wireless. I already ordered a Powerline adapter and will see, it should fix that issue. Because that is as of now the only issue I have with the game so far.
No, it actually sits on a small cupboard, pretty exposed. I don't actually know why it does that to be honest.
Then i try it again when playing new world, every 5-20 seconds i get massive spikes from 400 ms up to 2000ms making the game unplayable for 3-5 seconds till it recovers.
OP give the ping tester a go and let me know if you have similar issues.
What now? i rly want to play the game but this becomes unbearable
I used PingPlotter which the first person to answer suggested. It actually showed my WiFi spiking off to 100% Packet Loss ever so often. Though it was not only for New World, just it was most noticeable there. Which is strange, since I play i.e. Deep Rock here and there, and while people mentioned I'd have strange hiccups, it was never as bad as in NW.
As mentioned, I got myself 2 DLan Adapters. Plugged them in and tested 2 days ago. Worlds better.
