New world will never be the #1 MMO of all time. It's a middle of the road game with a 68% review lol.

You cant compare a small New World (one time payment) made by a corporation (amazon)

And ashes of creation that has the ambitions to be one of the strongest competitors of WoW, with a monthly sub payment, open world where players are living their own life, the players decide the prices of everything, the players will have massive clans that have mayors, generals, people that own castles and can fly on a dragon (guild leader) massive 500v500 seige events, natural surrounding changes with different seasons (winter/summer) every single dungoen, world boss, and PVE content is non-loading screen, which means no matter what you and your friends are planning to farm, there will allways be players of another group that wants the same loot as you, and they will kill you, to take the spot.

If you played lineage 2 you will know its one of the most hardcore grinding world where the players are in full control of economy.

You can literally block an entire location using your clan, kill every single player that comes close, and then put the price of the minerals from those locations at a x10 price the normal, just because your clan controls that territory daily.

You people that played casual mmo's like WoW, ESO, and New World have no idea what Ashes is going to be, it is nothing you hav ever experienced, unless you played Lineage 2.

You will understand it later..
The alpha 2 is close, after that there are two betas and release date. Which means there is about 2 years left until Ashes release.

That is pretty quick for such a massive ambitious project.

LOL ashes of creation is going to have a dogwater release because the project is just too ambitious for its own good, the developers are glorified 3d modelers pretending to build a game.

AOC is announced as next best thing when it arrives... top of the top... and by following their news it looks like it might just be that...

but dont expect it to come out any time soon... at least not in next 1-2 years time
