Does the game still brick GPUs?
When i was playing this game when it was first released my gpu ended up semi bricking itself? i don't really know what happened exactly but one time whilst playing it my whole computer had a meltdown of a crash, and the gpu wasn't working when turning my pc back on. Just had to turn it back on in the device manager as it was still detected but every few hours it would just randomly turn off because of this. This was on an rx5600xt and i now have an RTX 3060ti (asus ko V2 OC) which I won't have overclocked. Im just kinda worried to start playing again and then have my gpu die on me again haha

I have been playing this on a RX 5600XT since before Alpha 3. My GPU is still fine. Was yours the faulty ver1 that were going around?

It was a version 1. There has been a lot of videos about the version 1's being a problem with overheating and bricking.

It was a well known problem.

Nah the FPS cap they didnt have before on the login screen, is now fixed.

BUT! with EAC and the many other things that have been added since the beta went to launch beta, have caused the game to run hotter.
Without a good PC to handle the textures and beams of light that the moth people follow, it can have other issues, and poorly made GFX cards will struggle.

Technically No. The game has always assisted in bricking GPU's but it's the GPU themselves that were ultimately found to be faulty. And that is still happening, but less and less. (3090's generally, still) - see the recent thread on this discussion board, posted 8 hours ago. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1063730/discussions/0/3281443422923568857/
