Game glitch (Stuck in main story)

Hey if anyone in support can help me out, currently stuck in game. There was a quest item I needed in order to progress with the main story line, that was deleted or removed from my char after the last patch update. The current quest I am stuck at is "The ritual", which requires me to place a "Heartgem" (Which I no longer have) on the altar. Iv also tried to redo the expedition where I received it prior and had no luck getting it again. I have SS's of this as well any help will be appreciated thank you.

this is correct if heartgem cant be found first go redoing expedition will make it appear. (location of the heartgem is slightly right of final boss)

This is incorrect, personally tested this, multiple people are having this problem its bug related. This issue stems from once "already obtaining the Gem" but it "vanishing" from your inventory as you attempt the next quest ( The Ritual ). Resulting you being stuck. Resetting quest only resets the current quest you are on. Where you to place gem (The Ritual) but the quest allowing you to get a "Heartgem" ( Destiny Unearthed ) can only be obtained once. Under normal circumstances a quest item could not be drop, discarded, or stored. So i'm sure according to the system it believes I have this item. Thx for the reply though.

Whatever happened with support? I placed a couple of complaints but to no avail. Lvl 60 with no Azoth staff tier 2. It sucks!

If you're not trolling the solution to this issue was to restart the quest.
