why would PvP'ers get a 30% gathering luck bonus???
Someone please explain this to me. What do PvP'ers need a Gathering Luck bonus for??? How does PvP'ing have anything to do with Gathering??? How does having more luck while gathering contribute to PvP'ing???

And, while I'm at it, a question for the Devs. Doesn't giving a Player a 30% gathering luck bonus contribute to and encourage the very same behavior which caused AGS to scrap plans for an Open-World-Full-Loot-PvP-mmorpg and switch to an Opt-In-PvP/PvE game???
Doesn't a mechanic whose intent is to encourage players to Flag-up and then GATHER send a message to other players that you want them to attack players that are doing things like gathering??? Encouraging them to look for unsuspecting vicitms???

Because before you have no incentive to go PVP in max level. now you have 30% gathering and 10% loot luck. The basic kill all casual PVE because now a lot more players will go PVP to get the bonus luck

Next patch pve mode will get 50% damage to other players.
They want you to fight over the best resources in the game....obviously.

Yes and yes.

But you misunderstand that the devs wanted a full pvp game before the pvpers ruined it by seal clubbing so they still want to listen to the (honestly legitimate) concerns about the lack of flagged lowbies.

Now, I personally would change the repair system so you could either use repair parts (no gold) or pay the smithing NPCs gold (no repair parts) to repair items.


I would also limit open world pvp to within five levels of each other in order to prevent seal clubbing completely.

THEN add the luck bonus to encourage people to flag.

I don't think the question should be: 'Why WOULD PvPers get a bonus'
It should be: 'Why SHOULD PvPers get a bonus'

A bonus on a PvE activity. Give them a PvP related bonus and let the PvEers get the PvE bonus.

Question 1: No because it's still opt-in
Question 2: Yes and no. If you have PvP enabled, expect to get attacked. But you can always just not have it enabled.

Players were asking for this. This mechanic makes sense. Higher risk higher reward, gives more reason for you to have PvP enabled.

Resources are limited (but respawn obviously) its great that you can either fight for resources and get rewarded or be lame and gather not flagged like a bot. BEST CHANGE TO THE GAME YET.

Imagine gathering resources not flagged. lol
