And the other 100's of video's of bots on youtube were also fake...
Not saying they are fake. I'm saying that video is fake. It is the top three in the video search which shows that is the one people see first when they search aka providing false showing of what a bot actually is. I know bots exists, I've seen them myself, but they aren't rampant and certainly aren't taking over the servers as people would lead you to believe. Bots and or "International" farmers exist in every game and they hardly ever, if ever get completely outted/controlled.
I will give it a shot. I farm morningdale and other 40 to 60 zones for chest and mats early in the morning never see anyone for most part. I farm a bunch of hysoip, corrouption and trees in or near the newbe area of firstlight and see no one. Never seen anyone running to a node and stop but I dont know alot of nod locations execpt on my chest run routes. I dont think the bots are around anymore or I dont play in compatition with them. I have chat truned off so i dont hear gold sellers. they are not a problem to me.
I farm my own mats and dont buy in tradeing post. I sell trophys, tools and chest drops. I keep all my mats unless i have to much.
Maybe some servers aren't as infested as others? Crazy theory I know.
I did spent the time running around newbe area in fristlight maybe 8/hr gold if ya kill it all. Not much to bot for and it was empty execpt an afk level 1 go figure.
now up in the hills just above the newbe area is iron and shock bulbs and what not, corruption too. I saw 2 toons just standing far apart near the nods. one moves and farms the iron i get the other nod the big one and he trys to get it while I am mining it. Aa Ha a bot. he stops and I run off to see the other one mining a route of iron and it stops at the end.
now I film it we got a bot infestion going on here. I see another on in the distance running over. the other 2 are not moving. it stops and one of the others grabs a fresh node and stops. the 3rd one runs quite some diistance and kills a cat skinns it runs back and waits for his rock. The new comer moves again to me and jumps up and down. I stop filming.
It is one guy 3 accounts palying 3 toons framing everything in a timely manner. Sorry just not bots.
It is a problem for several reasons:
The first and foremost is that these bots are programmed by pages that are dedicated to selling coins and therefore encourage pay to win, and obviously if they do it is because there are people who buy them. What I do not know is if the developers will be part of all this but I presume they will, because it seems the only reason that would justify not fighting against this, when it is clear that it is disadvantaging its players. But all this could be extrapolated to the entire industry behind the aimbots and traps. In the end, one wonders if when a fat company starts a project it has in mind the benefits that it will get later by selling cheats.
The second reason is that the bots are putting resources for sale at a lower price than they should in order to make money, and they are depriving the player of the ability to sell primary resources like wood, stone etc at a reasonable price.
The third reason is that these bots, in addition to being used by companies that are dedicated to selling coins, are also being used by normal players to get coins while the developers do nothing, and therefore have a purchasing power much greater than that of any other player who doesn't cheat, because obviously putting a bot in the game is cheating.
That is to say, defending the issue of bots is unimaginable and no one on the server I'm on is fine with it, I don't really understand the people who come out to defend them in this post or to say that there are no bots ... what no bots? ha ha ha ha ha ha
I'm not a defender of Amazon, I AM an opponent of whining petulance.
And petulance at all, I have already explained why it is a problem, those who do not see it that way will have their reasons;)
I know for certain there is a bot problem... I also know for certain that not a single person reading this forum can do a thing about it. If you want something of substance done about the bots then you are clearly in the wrong place.
We have been seeing the same bots for weeks farming stone and wood in the same area and nobody does anything, I simply comment that it is a shame that the developers try to convince us that they cannot fight this, because there are a thousand ways to do it.
And I also comment that if they do not do it, it is suspicious, especially considering that there is a business that moves a lot of money behind.
Obviously from here neither you nor I can do anything, but that we cannot do anything, it does not mean that we cannot comment on the lamentable state in which the game is in that regard.
